I just got this and yes it's artificial strawberry and a little cherry too for me. This made me think of those little scented strawberry shortcake dolls that would smell nice my friends had at their house with their Barbie dolls. Juvenile, youthful. The only other pink sugar scent I have tried is the original but in a hair mist and I think I prefer it. I don't love this but it's okay. It was sweet but had a bit of that tart like sour gummies candy fruit scent too. I think the strawberry and "cake" scent over rides the other notes in red velvet
I just got this in the mail today, and OMG it is so sweet and amazing! It definitely smells like the original pink sugar, but without the licorice note. Instead, there is strawberry and cakey vanilla added to the mix. like all the pink sugar flankers, it is extremely sweet, long lasting and amazing projection. I didn't need this in my collection, since I already own a few of the flankers, but I love pink sugar and needed to own it lol. I actually find myself reaching more for this one than the original one! If you love girly and dessert smelling perfumes, try this one out.
