The quintessential patchouli fragrance that embodies the essence of earthy warmth and subtle sweetness, transforming me into a free-spirited hippie chick when worn. Its refined elegance is further enhanced by rose nuances and a hint of smokiness, which intriguingly reminds one of chocolate - as I discovered during a store visit where fellow shoppers complimented someone on their sweet aroma.
My senses detect notes of patchouli, ethyl vanillin, possibly some benzoin, lactones (bicyclononalactone), eugenol with its characteristic clove-like aroma, musks, woody ambers, and rosy/geranium materials. The combination of patchouli, lactones, and vanilla typically yields a gourmand fragrance.
On my skin, the initial impression of Psychedelic has a slightly medical quality, but remarkably, this gives way to a truly enchanting experience around 20 minutes in. I'd be willing to make a blind purchase, as it's indeed a worthwhile investment.
I'm not picking up on the chocolate cake notes at all. Instead, I detect a rich, smooth, dark patchouli fragrance that's beautifully balanced by creamy vanilla and marshmallow undertones. This scent has won me over, and I no longer feel the need to explore other patchouli options.
The scent has a pleasant character, but I find the patchouli note overpowering and earthy to my senses.
