Reviews

A unique rose scent that seamlessly blends retro and modern elements with a nearly pharmaceutical undertone. I thoroughly enjoy it.

I enjoy some perfumes, while others don't resonate with me, and there are those where I feel neutral. Rose Anonyme is one such fragrance that falls into the latter category.

Interesting composition. One can see why it would be marketed as unisex, given the combination of masculine and feminine elements. In my opinion, the floral notes tip the balance towards femininity, making it advisable to test this scent before committing to a purchase.

I acquired this perfume as part of a scented body lotion gift set from an Advent calendar I treated myself to. Although it's only a trial size, I'm considering upgrading to a larger format. My current fixation with rose-scented fragrances has been satisfied by this offering, which strikes the right balance between subtlety and presence.

The initial impression is a vivid depiction of fresh, dewy roses and a subtle warmth from ginger. I appreciate how the rose doesn't overwhelm with its traditional potency; instead, it harmonizes beautifully with spices and woods, avoiding overpowerment. A thoughtful interpretation of the classic rose/oud combination, indeed. Shortly after application, patchouli emerges, gradually shifting the scent towards earthy, slightly soapy undertones. It's a pleasant progression, albeit one that might be more suited to cooler weather and a unisex audience due to its close-to-the-skin projection. Fast forward 6+ hours: The fragrance has undergone a dramatic transformation, as the spicy rose phase gave way to an overabundance of soapy notes, which unfortunately diminished my overall enjoyment.
