Reviews

Overpowering vanilla dominates this scent, accompanied by sugary spices. Its longevity is impressive. While not my top choice, it's pleasant and suitable for special occasions like nights out when I'm feeling adventurous. I can imagine that WOW, people will definitely take notice, either positively or negatively depending on their individual tastes 😊

This perfume is extremely forward with its pink pepper and powder notes to the point of being almost overwhelming. While I'm not typically drawn to this type of fragrance, there's something captivating about it that keeps me coming back. The way the wood notes emerge in the dry down is particularly impressive. In addition to its alluring character, it also boasts excellent longevity and projection. I've even noticed that when I apply it to my pajamas, the scent lingers noticeably for two-thirds of a night.

Tonka bean, vanilla, and subtle pepper create an intriguing harmony, which gradually yields to a sweet patchouli presence in the drydown. This scent has a gentle character, with moderate longevity that suits everyday wear. In my view, it leans more towards the freshness of Cyprus-inspired fragrances rather than oriental or woody accords, making it ideal for daytime use, where its softness will shine through.

As typical of Lalique, this perfume begins with a peppery kick, followed closely by heliotrope 🌼. While I'm not entirely sold on the top notes - they're a bit too woody for my taste 🌲, the drydown becomes sweeter and more pleasant. To me, it doesn't scream "spring" but could work well in winter ❄️. The tonka bean shines in the base, creating a smooth and sweet accord 🔥. However, I find that the vetiver introduces a resinous tone to the top notes, disrupting the harmony of the scent 🌈. Thankfully, this issue resolves itself in the base, which is balmy and powdery, with good longevity 💪. Overall, I consider it a high-quality scent, smooth and sophisticated, justifying its price tag 👏.

I'm not being diplomatic here, but I impulsively purchased this perfume after seeing numerous glowing reviews about it. The ingredients matched my preferences precisely, yet the initial aroma was unappealing... I wasn't detecting any tonka or vanilla notes at first, only an overwhelming presence of patchouli. Normally, I enjoy patchouli, but in this case, it felt overpowering. As the scent dried down, it became more tolerable, but still, I couldn't understand why everyone raved about it. After three hours of wear, I finally started to appreciate its sweet, powdery, smooth, sophisticated, and confident aspects. This perfume may not be for every individual... it's likely more suited for mature individuals. I hope this candid review helps someone by emphasizing the importance of waiting for the fragrance to settle and dry down before forming an opinion.
