Floral Spicy Enthusiast

When buying a bottle of Gris Charnel from the BDK website, I chose Sel d'Argent as one of my free samples. I usually like salty, marine notes, and I was really looking forward to smelling this one. I don't really know what I imagined, but not this. To me it smells like a public toilet on the beach. A mixture of urine, chlorine/bleach/cleaning products for the toilets, and a cheap citrusy spray the cleaning person has used to cover the smell. Ah, how I wish I chose another sample...

Absolutely LOVE This scent is not at all up my alley yet somehow i can get enough of it. I usually like the gourmands, dense, woody, spicy scents *and* usually dont love orange blossom in scents bc very strongly associate it to a family member who wears only that, yet somehow this one is just the right balance of tart and fresh that i just love coming out of the shower or before bed. You definitely get a lot of salty aquatic citrus in the opening, followed up by orange blossom florals and musks. So relaxing and calming and innocent/charming. I absolutely love it. Is it revolutionary? No. But is it good. Oh yes. Also lasts pretty well for a freshie There’s a time and place for this; out of shower, hot summer days, crisp nights before bed... but it’s a great classic fresh and musky fragrance to round out your collection.

Mild salt with orange blossoms, and a balanced bergamot sand... Sel d'Argent is saved by the cashmeran taking it out from the fresh aquatic sea spray overused category into a sea side bed beach with that mild citrus that you can barely detect or detect it's haze and an early morning sunny bliss with it's mild sweet vanilla like cashmeran and white musk. Sel d'Argent is affectionist character with it's slight ecstasy embedded within. It's like balmy, yet thick creamy textured blend with a beautiful soft silky touch. Beautiful.
