Lacoste Style in Play Red Men EDT unfolds with a subtle blend of mildly sweet, apple, fresh woody, and white floral notes. The initial aroma is airy, fresh, faint, fruity, and woody green, exuding a pleasant freshness. Notably, the green apple note is reminiscent of granny smith apples, with its characteristic sweetness and tartness. The Thuja, pine, and cedar woods create a verdant accord that evokes a forest atmosphere. The combination of apple and green tree notes is truly exceptional. A soft touch of jasmine adds a gentle floral nuance, while the patchouli and vetiver form a light base note with white musk. The fragrance remains linear throughout its evolution, with no significant changes in tone or projection. As it reaches its dry-down, Lacoste Style in Play Red Men EDT becomes a very soft, sweet, green apple, and fresh woody scent with subtle floral and green undertones. Overall, this fragrance is casual, comforting, delectable, dilute, diurnal, faint, fresh, fruity, green, light, modern, refreshing, short-lived, sour, sporty, sweet, unique, unisex, white, woody, and very pleasant.

Very distinctively male, refreshing, and calming from the onset, yet gradually softens as the base notes settle in; meanwhile, the pine note leaves a subtle hint of crispness lingering on the palate. Perfectly suited for autumn and winter nights.

Green apple notes can be deceiving - I initially thought it was bergamot too! Unfortunately, I didn't resonate with its scent either. The tartness of green apple can be overwhelming, and when it doesn't harmonize with one's skin tone, the result can be unflattering 😐

Although I've recently discovered niche perfumery, Lacoste Style in Play remains my go-to signature scent and forever will. Lacoste demonstrates impressive skill in crafting fragrances, with this being an excellent example. It exudes a refreshing and invigorating aura, characteristic of its youthful vibe. The harmonious blend of notes yields a captivating essence that's particularly suited for daytime and spring/summer wear, although it also fares well during the fall season.

A delightful blend of wood, fruit, and white musk that charms with its pleasant, well-crafted aroma. The fragrance maintains its presence over time, accompanied by a moderate trail. I find it reminiscent of Burberry Summer Men 2009, but with Lacoste's version showcasing more pronounced fruity notes.
