Reviews

While most rose fragrances in the world are often praised for being well-blended, they usually aren't. It seems some people don’t fully understand what a "well-blended" fragrance means. Most roses are straightforward, with rose being the dominant note. For example, Guerlain's Santal Royal is a fragrance with multiple notes, but rose is still the most prominent scent you can detect, whether it’s in the top notes or the dried-down phase. However, Tabac Rose stands out as a truly well-blended fragrance. Its top notes include chocolate, cinnamon, and tobacco, all of which work harmoniously with the rose present at every level. It's balanced in a way that makes me want to say it's "delicious," even making me feel a little hungry, which is kind of funny. When I first tried Tabac Rose on my skin, it amazed me. It reminded me a lot of Spicebomb Extreme, and I think they share similar DNA, which is a good thing. Now, pricing-wise, Tabac Rose retails for around 190 euros for 100 ml, while Spicebomb Extreme can be found for about 85 euros at Douglas in Italy. I know, I know—Tabac Rose is positioned as a luxurious niche fragrance. But trust me, it’s not always just about the name; sometimes, you get what you pay for. I genuinely love Tabac Rose and have it on my wish list. However, there are plenty of other fragrances out there that I think are more essential to try first. On my skin, its longevity is about 8 hours, and it has good projection for the first three hours. Overall, it’s a satisfying scent.

I've been wearing it for a few days now, and while it's lovely, I'm not sure if the name quite fits. There's no hint of tobacco, but it does have sweet, fruity, and syrupy rose notes along with noticeable spiciness. The base is a smooth, creamy blend of ambery labdanum, dense chocolate, and wood that stays consistent throughout. However, this note takes over mid-way through, becoming the main scent after about an hour. It lasts for about 6 to 8 hours with moderate projection. Overall, it's mature and sophisticated, and I'd recommend it to others who might enjoy a complex fragrance like this.

This scent smells incredible when sprayed into the air... But when it hits my skin, it's not as strong. It has a very medicinal vibe to it, almost like Robitussin. It’s definitely not bad, but maybe it just doesn’t play well with my unique chemistry. The projection is solid, and I think the longevity is decent too. I’d love to try it on someone else to see how it comes across. Overall, it’s an 8/10 in the air and a 7/10 on me.

The opening is reminiscent of Lancôme's Oud Bouquet, while its drydown brings Montale's Intense Café to mind.

"Wearing this scent, I’d follow wherever it takes me—dark, sexy, and totally intoxicating! It’s versatile enough for anyone to enjoy."
