Purely in terms of scent, I award this fragrance a perfect score. Its unique blend of tangy, fresh, and sweet amber notes is truly exceptional, and every time I wear it, I find myself captivated by its allure. The fragrance's versatility makes it suitable for various occasions, from "date night" to everyday wear. While the performance isn't remarkable, with moderate longevity lasting around 5-6 hours on well-hydrated skin, this is not a major concern. However, the lack of projection and subtle nature means it may not stand out when worn in public. Furthermore, I find the fragrance slightly unremarkable, lacking a distinct character that would make it attention-grabbing. Nonetheless, as a wearer, it's pleasant to smell, even if it won't garner significant compliments. Considering its price point of $70 for 100ml at Chemist Warehouse in Australia (or $43 USD), I believe this fragrance offers excellent value for those starting their collection or seeking an all-rounder with warm undertones.
I predominantly detect notes of grapefruit and orange blossom, with a subtle hint of coriander. However, it appears that the dominant theme is an orange-spiced scent, which overshadows any potential tobacco undertones for me.
My go-to evening fragrance, this perfume excels in tropical climates due to its EDT formula. I appreciate how subtle and soft it is, as this prevents it from overpowering the senses. It has a similar effect to Acqua di Gio at night, subtly present yet never intrusive unless you're up close or sharing a warm moment with someone. To me, this is the epitome of a perfect evening scent.
I adore the flankers of this perfume, yet I have mixed feelings about the original formula 🤔. The clove aroma is overpowering, much like wearing toothpaste 💸, which doesn't sit well with me. While a subtle hint of clove can be pleasant, in this scent it dominates the entire fragrance 🔥. Luckily, its longevity is quite short-lived ⏰, so the unpleasantness isn't prolonged. Even if I enjoyed this perfume, I wouldn't recommend it due to its poor 2-hour projection 🕰️. The flankers aren't impressive either, but they transform into skin scents, making them suitable for romantic evenings 💕.
Regardless of how well-known or overhyped this scent may be, I find it incredibly effective and captivating. It emits a warm, spicy, creamy amber aroma that's utterly alluring. While the EDP does appear richer and stronger overall, I actually prefer the EDT for its slightly more subdued quality. The fragrance lasts several hours on my skin (I can still detect its presence after 3 sprays to the lower neck), and at $40-50 a bottle online, it's a relatively reasonable price point.
