I previously had an unfavorable experience with Vanillary, as the scent resembled urine on my skin. However, when I tried the solid perfume recently, I was pleasantly surprised to find that it smelled lovely on me. Specifically, I detect notes of vanilla and jasmine, with a subtle hint of tonka, which creates a beautiful fragrance.
I'm utterly unimpressed with this perfume, to be honest. While I adore sweet scents, vanilla, buttery notes reminiscent of play dough, American Cream is my benchmark for sweetness. Unfortunately, this perfume is overpowering and nauseating to me.
Trying to rekindle my appreciation for this perfume before parting with it.
This scent embodies the quintessential essence of gourmand sweetness, expertly blending caramel and vanilla notes that linger throughout the day. The combination with Vanillary body wash creates a robust yet subtle fragrance aura around me, evoking the warmth and comfort of toasted marshmallows. The addition of white florals adds an air of sophistication, making it suitable for even the most formal settings.
I don't find Vanillary straightforward; the initial notes strike me as vanilla, jasmine, and a powdery, animalic musk, with the jasmine being the dominant force in my opinion ๐ค. The opening does have a yeasty quality to it, but this characteristic gets lost in the dry down, where Vanillary evolves into a smoother, more floral scent ๐จ. Despite the challenging opening, I enjoyed wearing Vanillary both times and would love to own a 30ml bottle ๐, but I'm hesitant to pay the inflated prices for a discontinued fragrance ๐. Overall, a strong like from me! ๐
