A rare gem. The opening is wonderful. The vetiver is present from the beginning. I'm picking up olibanum as well, although it's not in the listed notes. This fragrance is well made and wears very comfortably. Excellent longevity and sillage, but not offensive to those around you. It draws people in. This would be an excellent addition to any wardrobe. I've tried two Ex Nihilo fragrances now, this one and Amber Sky. Both are ridiculously nice, but extremely expensive. At least you're getting a beautiful experience while wearing this, which is the whole point of wearing a fragrance. I want this, but I'll have to pony up some serious dough to get it. Two thumbs up as high as possible!

Trying some new ones from this house after completing the Babylone collection. Wearing a sample of this today, it's really nice on me. Smooth, soft, well crafted. I'm not usually a fan of vetiver as it takes you to the manly barbershop but that's not happening here. There is certainly something reminiscent about this smell but in a good way. Perhaps a touch light but I'm using a travel spray and not a ton comes out in one spray. Will do a couple more tests but this might be my next purchase. I did end up buying a full 50ml. Wearing it today and I can't smell it at all. Like at all. I've doused myself in it. I'm starting to think this one has a short shelf life.

There is a contemporary generation of Vetiver fragrances with a particular style currently popular in the market. Some of their stylistic predecessors have been around for years especially the famous Encre Noir and Encre Noir Sport. They share a base backbone of Vetiveryl Acetate, Iso E and at times are further developed with hints of Ambroxan, Cashmeran and Javanol. This is an nice take on that base accord but it boosts the Javanol which gives it a smooth lactonic softness. It also has a natural Vetiver grassiness paired to a subtle tart citrus and Ambroxan dry saltiness. If you enjoy the current contemporary take on Vetiver which is often dry and clean with a noticable sea-side crispness - with a soft musk complimented drydown ... this should be one on the list to try. Colors that come to mind when I sniff this are light-brownish-gray, faded green matte, dull white. Textures that come to mind are cotton knit, tight loomed linen, on top of a cold pressed watercolor paper. An enjoyable contemporary Vetiver.

I got my sample today and I am in love ❤️. I love vetiver and lactonick porfumes . So I decided to give it a try . No regrets . Fresh, cozy, slightly sweet but not too sweet . Beautiful fragrance . Well balanced . I remember trying one of the new Indian brand and they have sample of their vetiver fragrance and very similar to this one. I wish it would be affordable. The other brand is $300 too. So I will enjoy my 5 ml samples for now

I'm on the hunt for my perfect vetiver, which would have been Fat Electrician, if only it lasted more than a few minutes. Vetiver Moloko is a very good contender, but missing that sweet, sweaty magic. This is a rather citrusy vetiver, and woody vanilla, with a powdery, maybe sawdusty texture. There is indeed a slight vibe of Sunny Side Up, with sandalwood notes, but this is certainly vetiver forward. As it develops it becomes brighter and more zingy. The dry down is more of the soft and sweet vetiver I'm familiar with, but it is still not a great performer. Unisex, but to me it's very enjoyable to wear, if a little short lived. In any case, the whole exercise is rather pointless - given the eye watering price, I doubt this could ever be "the one" either way!!
