To the reviewer below: Visa 2007 bears a striking resemblance to Mugler's Angel, particularly in its deep dry-down. Specifically, it recalls the pre-reformulation of Angel. It commences with peach and suede notes, reminiscent of an Angel flanker in my opinion. I possess an older bottle labeled "Visa", which was later rebranded as "V". The reformulated version may share similarities with Coco Noir, although I'm not familiar with that one...
I've had this perfume in my collection for over a year now, and despite my efforts, it still doesn't resonate with me. In small amounts or dabbed on, it's somewhat tolerable, but when sprayed liberally, I'm left with an overwhelming feeling that the scent is more suited to elderly women. I find the soapy quality overpowering, which can become irritating over time. On a positive note, it does have good longevity and projects well on clothing. However, unfortunately, this perfume doesn't quite work for me.
This perfume embodies the essence of autumn. It transports me to a serene scene: a woman, probably in her 40s, sitting outdoors on a mild fall day, reminiscing about her youthful days. The scent initially unfolds as bright and fruity, but beneath this sparkle lies an undertone of wistfulness, giving it an air of opacity. As the fragrance evolves, it settles into a soft, powdered floral with a vintage charm, and the melancholy takes center stage. As the memories replay in her mind, she remains lost in thought, still savoring the warmth of her past experiences, yet gradually appreciating new aspects of life and herself. The overall impression is classic, with an almost old-school feel to it. While this fragrance exudes femininity, I believe it could be worn by someone of any gender. It's a timeless, mature scent that leans slightly towards sweetness without being too overpowering. Suitable for those who appreciate fruit and floral notes in moderation, it's versatile enough to work for all occasions – day or night. On certain days when you desire to indulge in melancholy, this perfume is an excellent choice. And, as I delve deeper into its nuances, I'm starting to grasp the allure of its mature fruitiness, wrapped in woody undertones. It's precisely what I needed, even though I wasn't aware of it until now. Notably, this scent shares similarities with Tom Ford's Noir de Noir – yet, I'm still searching for the specific quality that makes it so compelling.
If you're new to perfume, consider Visa comparable to Chopard Wish, with a superior level of craftsmanship.
If your taste in perfumes leans towards subtle sweetness rather than overpowering scents, you may want to give this fragrance a pass. Unfortunately, my own skin chemistry had a negative reaction to it, and on me, it takes on the characteristic of Kelly Caleche, another scent I'm not fond of.
