Wanted by Night

I recently purchased this perfume for $50, and while it didn't quite meet my expectations, it was a pleasant surprise. Upon application, it's as if you've entered a sophisticated setting where an Italian mafia boss and his friends are enjoying cigars. The initial scent is reminiscent of caramel, chocolate, tobacco, and vanilla, with a hint of synthetic notes that might be specific to my batch. As the fragrance dries down, I'm left with a rich, pure vanilla and tobacco aroma. Although I don't detect as much cinnamon as the notes suggest, this perfume still offers great value for under $100, making it suitable for winter rather than fall.

"This perfume is remarkably fitting for someone who exudes maturity, adventure, and self-assurance. Its distinct aroma truly sets it apart from others. Although many may initially pick up on cinnamon in the initial stages, I must respectfully disagree. To my senses, the opening notes evoke a rich, boozy, sweet, and spicy butterscotch with a subtle undertone of sweet dates. The dry down is exceptional, transforming into a more woody, sweet, and spicy fragrance with subtle fruity nuances. It's an outstandingly well-crafted cologne that I have grown to adore."

So I had high expectations for this perfume, but what arrived was a different story altogether. In my opinion, the original Wanted outshines its flankers, with the exception of Wanted EdP and Wanted Tonic. To me, this particular scent is unremarkable and lacks that certain je ne sais quoi.

Unpleasant blend of synthetic notes, particularly the combination of cinnamon and fruit is unappealing to my senses, and it even caused me discomfort, I would not advise trying this perfume. 3/10.

A fragrance that receives an impressive rating of almost nine out of ten.
