I do appreciate this interpretation, but I don't notice sufficient divergence from the original to justify the modification. I recall having reservations about the two options, and upon further reflection, I believe my initial preference for the classic EDP was justified due to its stronger sillage and more pronounced leafy freshness. While the strawberry note is pleasant, it doesn't seem particularly relevant to the overall essence of this fragrance in my opinion.
I took a chance on this fragrance knowing that Thierry Mugger perfumes often don't align with my preferences, Angel is typically disagreeable with my chemistry, and Alien only occasionally agrees. Thankfully, I made an exception for this one! I absolutely adore it - the sweet and fruity notes resonate well with me, no fishy undertones, but I do detect a subtle marine/caviar accord. It's a statement scent that demands attention and isn't suitable for those who prefer understated fragrances. The longevity is impressive, lasting all day without fading. This fragrance has truly converted me; it's the first perfume in my vast collection (over 70 bottles) to elicit a signature response - I'm considering it my new go-to, and I've even ordered the original Womanity to compare its quality.
I initially had high expectations for this perfume, but unfortunately, it didn't quite resonate with me. While I appreciate its sweetness, freshness, and femininity, the fig note falls flat on my palate. Upon application, I detected notes of strawberry, figs, saltiness, and woodiness - a unique combination that's modern, daring, and ultra-feminine. However, it's not my personal taste.
I bought the original Womanity, but instead got Eau pour Elle. To me, this is a sweeter, creamier, more feminine and soft fragrance. I don't detect anything unusual in its composition, just a straightforward fresh and sweet scent for women. While it's too sweet and feminine for my taste, I prefer the regular Womanity which has a drier, unisex quality...
This perfume bears an uncanny resemblance to its iconic counterpart, which I hold dear; unfortunately, it lacks longevity and is tainted by an unusual, pungent note reminiscent of strawberry-flavored lip gloss or a waxy doll's head, thus rendering it inferior to the authentic version.
