Ylang 49 is my modern take on Aromatic Elixir. It's super sexy and incredibly brilliant! Plus, it's a great compliment to whoever's wearing it.

I was wearing Mitsouko (Les Legendaires EDP) yesterday, so I might be biased, but this perfume definitely gives off those classic vibes. It feels like Mitsouko’s stylish and effortlessly cool granddaughter. The scent is earthy, clean, dry, and floral—yellow-floral to be exact. I don’t pick up any banana notes from the ylang-ylang, so it doesn’t feel tropical or heavy. The composition is a bit abstract, almost hazy, after that strong opening. But then, the dry-down is really nice because it avoids becoming powdery or old-mossy. Overall, this has that effortlessly sexy-chic and modern-vintage feel. It’s perfect for someone looking for a signature scent with a French flair!

This perfume immediately brought back memories of high school and J.Lo's Still scent. I can't believe it's not listed in the comparisons! If I hadn't seen the label, I would have sworn it was a tea fragrance. It's really delicate, making it one of the prettiest in the Le Labo line. If you're looking for something clean and crowd-pleasing, this is your pick. Personally, though, I think it doesn't justify its price point as uniquely special compared to others by Le Labo.

It’s underwhelming, featuring a heavy-handed patchouli scent with just a touch of floral notes. I'm puzzled by the name choice of Ylang over Patchouli.

A symphony of ylang and oakmoss bomb. A scent so vivid it feels almost photorealistic, as if you're standing right in front of a bouquet of ylang ylang. And the freshness of just-picked oakmoss surrounds you. It’s got a slight medicinal vibe to it (-).
