It’s been a while since I’ve worn Gaultier2, but Altamir does seem to have some similarities. From what I recall, Gaultier2 felt too feminine for my taste and had this intense, almost supernatural strength that was overwhelming. A coworker once wore it, and the scent lingered in the air long after they left—kind of eerie, honestly. Altamir seems to fix those issues. It’s more balanced and not too overpowering, making it feel truly unisex. But even with these improvements, I don’t know—it just doesn’t draw me in or spark any strong feelings. I still prefer other perfumes from Lapidus or Bogart over this one.
Affordable and excessively sugary, this perfume has left me feeling let down once again. It's underwhelming and not quite what I was hoping for.
This scent is absolutely amazing! It’s rich with Tonka and has a lush, vibrant orange blossom note, all supported by a luxurious amber base. The patchouli adds a sweetness that’s not overwhelming. It reminds me a lot of Navy by Dana, but with a more intense presence. I’ve noticed it wears best in the warmth, and I’ve been able to layer it during those few bearable warm days. This is a must-try perfume!
Ted Lapidus Altamir... This perfume feels much more approachable than its counterpart, like Lapidus pour homme. It’s sweeter and softer with a soothing jasmine and tonka floral opening, layered over a warm and comforting creamy woody base. The scent evokes images of a sunset at the beach and would pair perfectly with a stroll along the coastal promenade by the Pacific. It’s a blind buy-friendly option for those who prefer softer, warmer fragrances, and it offers excellent value for its quality.
It smells fantastic, and I simply can't get enough of it.
