Mediocre new-fougère - a diluted version of Prolixe by Histoires de Parfums with too much Ambroxan and chemical boosters (noses burner) categorize directly this one in the stereotypical Pour Homme type of perfume, here a gourmand fougère with a lot of patchouly and amber but no leather at all. It's disappointing because instead of discovering something new from a brand who tries to be original you have a lot of commercial designer perfumes who come in mind... L'Homme Ideal EdT, Valentino Uomo, Play by Givenchy etcaetera but with that Rasquinet touch of chocolaty base...if you have already try Fidelis or Vici and also Prolixe by Histoires de Parfums you'll directly see the siblings with this one as the mediocre one. Very synthetic, unable to enjoy any particular well done note, the opening is too chemical and the evolution too discreet.
Fascinating leather fragrance with a fresh backbone. Legend in the make. Excellent.
Yes, very much like Layton. In the same way a Toyota MR2 is like a Ferrari. So much over analysing between this and Layton. It simply smells similar if done cheaper which it is. Far inferior bar if you are on a budget in which case OK. Still better to save your money.
Additional to PDM Layton comparison, I think One Million Lucky is also a direct relative, especially on the dry down. Most noses like the scent as did mine.
I don't understand the majority of vague & negative comments made here about this amazingly unique & pleasing fragrance that i personally enjoy & recently acquired. I reckon the direct comparison with PdM's Layton fragrance is ridiculously unwarranted & uncalled for. The main dominant component of CNI is it's subtle leather left, right & centre in which Layton does not have referring to it's perfume pyramid. The only 3 components they both have which are the basic components of many, many fragrances are bergamot, geranium & lavander...nothing else. Those 3 notes does not & should not always indicate direct similarity between 2 or more fragrances containing the same components. So i suggest that anybody who is curious & interested should test both these two fragrances on their own skin on separate wrists & make their own conclusion for themselves before listening to these so called self-proclaimed wannabe olfactory experts/snubs who posted their hogwash comments here that are confounded & useless to other fragrance advocates & aficionados.
