It has a distinct resemblance to apple shampoo! Upon closer inspection, the apple accord is reminiscent of a crisp Gala apple. Meanwhile, the fragrance unfolds with a subtle blend of fruity-soapy orange blossom and a hint of pepperiness. Overall, it exudes a clean and refreshing aura, making it perfect for everyday wear. 🍎💧
This perfume exudes a refreshing and crunchy quality, evoking the sensation of freshly laundered garments basking in sunlight. The prominent notes of lily of the valley and rose provide a delightful bouquet, which settles nicely on the skin. It's an ideal scent for warm weather, but unfortunately, its subtlety makes it too gentle for my personal taste.
DKNY Be Delicious lacks uniqueness in my opinion - its scent is eerily reminiscent of Bath and Body Works' Beautiful Day. However, Golden Delicious stands out as a masterfully blended fragrance, with white florals and juicy fruits harmonizing beautifully. The introduction of sandalwood, teak, and musk at the base adds depth to the overall smooth, classy aroma that exudes an air of sophistication, leaving me feeling uplifted and comforted. When I wear Golden Delicious, I feel empowered and elegant, making it a truly stunning perfume in my book.
The opening notes are truly exceptional, I must say I'm quite fond of it; unfortunately, it doesn't seem to get along with my body chemistry, which is a shame because the drydown becomes overwhelmingly cloying and headache-inducing for me. Despite this, I still have an entire bottle left, and at least the packaging looks lovely on my dresser.
Out of all the DKNY Apples perfumes I've sampled, this one stands out as the most womanly. It has a scent that embodies femininity, whereas the others have a more youthful quality to them - which isn't inherently negative. If you're looking for a fragrance that captures the essence of the other Apple scents but with a more mature tone, this is the one to choose. I'm pleased with this perfume overall, yet I wouldn't recommend it as a completely risk-free blind purchase. It diverges from the rest of the Apples lineup with its powdery, heavier, and sharper characteristics, so those who prefer very light fragrances might not appreciate this one. This fragrance is primarily suited for spring, but it would also be suitable for warm summer days. For autumn, I'd recommend a scent that's warmer in tone.
