Father Figure

hmm.. idk. to me it smells almost exactly like radiant nectar. by father they mean middle eastern father figure. (super girly n sweet) like others i do not smell the fig. super synthetic vibes i get. not understanding the comparisons to glossier you (which up against this scent unfortunately wins...) i love philosykos !! but it's super green n feels so singular so i was looking for a more complex fig didn't find it here will keep looking

Instant love. Fig is one of my favorite notes of all time and this fragrance does it justice. It's a unisex, slightly more feminine leaning fig that smells really nostalgic. Like hugging your dad after he comes home from his 9-5 and smelling the slight trace of cologne lingering on him. Very fitting name. Or maybe I just have daddy issues and wish I could hug my dad and feel the way this smells, idk. On me this has average projection and longevity. 2 sprays is enough but I do have to respray once throughout the day if I want the scent to be noticeable. I think this is perfect for those crisp fall days, but really can be worn all year round.

I enjoyed the fresh opening of this scent, but there was a melon smelling musk(maybe the fig smells like melon to me) that I didn’t enjoy on my skin. I can see this really being dependent on skin chemistry. Something just didn’t feel cohesive to me.

Picked up a travel size of this today. This smells like a much more affordable version of YSL Grain de Poudre. Not sure about performance yet but the scent is dead on a dupe for Grain de Poudre and I have both now. Love this one at this price point! Edit 11/13/23: I had to grab a full bottle of this amazing, cozy scent during the Sephora sale. This can easily be my everyday, dumb reach fragrance. Its very versitile. Can wear to work, to the gym, running errands, to sleep, jury duty, I mean... the list can go on and on. Its not going to disturb the peace but I do find myself catching little whiffs of it then nuzzling into my shirt or wrist to get a bigger dose. Its super comforting. I will always have this one. Its definitely not as loud as the YSL GdP but leans in that direction with scent profile. Edit 12/22/23: Last week I layered this over a heaping application of the Nest Sandalwood perfume oil and the compliments poured in all day. This combo is a definite winner 🏆

I love this perfume. It was love at first sniff. This is my favorite perfume amongst Phlur's line up. It is a freshie, which is clean, green, sweet, and well balanced. I'd say it is a perfect unisex perfume. It doesn't lean too feminine or too masculine. It wears for like 4 hours give or take. I am currently obsessed with sandalwood and woody scents, but I always find myself smiling when I spray or smell this perfume intermittently. Surprisingly, Father Figure is going to be a staple in my collection.
