Being iris one of my fav note, oohhhhh its so well crafted for one of the fabulous parfum around, am just in love with this since long,
I bought a sample of Florentine Iris on my quest to smell all things iris. As it is marketed as a masculine scent, I did not expect a lipstick accord, and that is certainly the case here. There is an unmistakable violet-iris accord, sheer and dewy, but FI is primarily an Iso-E-Super scent to my nose. FI opens with fresh bergamot, followed by the iris-violet accord after a little while. It is green and sheer up top, melding nicely with the bergamot. It becomes powdery as it develops, more grey and musky than earthy, joined by the Iso-E-Super. It becomes a single-note Iso-E-Super skin scent, its synthetic musk lingering for a good while. Sillage is moderate and longevity is long-lasting. It is masculine-leaning in my opinion, a year-round daytime scent. Not bad, but too synthetic for my taste, FI's grey haze certainly features iris, but not the kind I like. However, this will appeal to plenty. Ultimately, this is a lesser version of Escentric Molecules Molecule 01+Iris in my opinion. 2.5/5.
