Just tried this perfume today and WOW! I own the EDP and this one is my second Givenchy Gentleman fragrance. I must admit that Iris really grew on me - initially, I wasn't too fond of it. Anyway, I'd say Boisee is like a lighter, creamier version of EDP.
Very pleasant three notes with a significant amount of iris to my nose. It lasts for around 7-8 hours plus, but sometimes it's closer to 6.5 hours. One of my favorites and one of the most underrated I have.
I sampled this perfume at Ulta the other day, and upon application to my wrist, it struck me as a sophisticated take on Abercrombie Fierce/Mont Blanc Legend, with an upscale and warmer character. Based on my initial impression, I'm likely to make a purchase soon and would encourage others to do the same, rating it 9/10 so far; however, I advise trying it on skin to truly appreciate its qualities, as I believe it has potential to garner compliments.
A more wearable version of the overly saccharine Eau de Parfum has emerged, boasting a smoother, more refined, and infinitely more versatile character - all the reasons I dislike the EDP are why I adore this one. It commences with an alluring pepper-iris combination, with subtle hints of cacao beginning to make their presence known. As it dries down, creamy sandalwood joins forces with iris and cacao, resulting in a scent that is both incredibly sexy and elegantly "gentlemanly". This embodies what the "Gentleman" line should strive for. On my skin, this perfume enjoys an impressive longevity of 8+ hours. Projection is notable, extending beyond arm's length for half that time before gradually receding to a more intimate presence. Its adaptability is truly remarkable, suiting any season and occasion from fall to spring. While I appreciate all the offerings in this line, it is worth noting that the only exception is the EDP (which I find excessively sweet). In my opinion, Intense takes top honors, with this close second. Do not overlook either of these outstanding fragrances!
This fragrance stands out for its exceptional quality, earning numerous compliments from others, while also distinguishing itself from other scents, such as Dior Homme Intense, by delivering a pleasing and not overpowering aroma.
