This perfume is pure perfection—classy, long-lasting chypre with a vintage gemstone feel, found accidentally. I really love it! Thanks Barb, you're the best!

"A classic green chypre fragrance with lots of floral notes, including orris root and oakmoss, along with vetiver, amber, and musk. It’s a foamy, woody, green, and fresh bold statement that strong women would love. Scherrer perfumes are really underrated—so good yet affordable. If you're into classic green chypre scents with a sturdy base, Scherrer is a must-try. Definitely worth checking out!"

I wanted to share my thoughts on this timeless fragrance, which I acquired through the kindness of someone named passionata. It’s a true classic that captures the essence of old-school chypre perfumes—a sophisticated, grown-up scent with none of the sugary or fruity notes that are so popular today. The longevity is exceptional, and as I wear it over time, the fragrance evolves beautifully. It begins with a subtle blend of green and floral notes that are both soft and inviting. Even in the opening moments, the rich base notes give it depth and a certain earthiness. The presence of patchouli is noticeable, even though it’s not listed on the ingredients, giving it that forest-floor vibe. There might also be pine undertones, as some have speculated. These kinds of perfumes are truly special to me. It’s hard to believe that something this refined and sophisticated is still being created in today’s market.

There’s no sugary sweetness or artificial-like fragrances here—just pure, unadulterated perfume. If they’re not using actual oils, they’ve certainly nailed the art of faking it convincingly. This is what real perfumes should smell like: deliberate and distinct, not just another copycat fragrance. I noticed the word "chypre" wafting out of the sprayer! A light spray at work should be enough, but you might want to up the dosage during cooler evenings or winter days for better longevity. Plus, it’s unisex—though hey, let’s give women their moment to shine every once in a while.

When I wear the EDT, it's very similar to the old SIKKIM extract. It’s the 60ml cylinder with amber color and sells for a high price. The scent is quite strong even in the EDT version, so not everyone will like this. I'm not sure about the EDP; I might need to check that again. This perfume is a great match for people who will appreciate it. By the way, the old and new EDTs are the same despite different bottle colors or stickers. My bottles look different, but they all have the same smell. It seems like this brand doesn't compromise on quality.
