This is an almost unisex scent for my sence, it sounds like a more elegant version of (dissapointing for me) 'eau the vert' by Bulgari ; I consider it as a so light and elegant green fresh one, but unfortunately you are just trying to find out its longevity and sillage when you apply, while ι have an essence of it only the first 2-3 minutes.. after that period the scent seems to almost dissapear and getting involved to your skin, or even gone.. First feel is providing a real discreet character of clean, fresh and green essence that I personally can't really smell it on my skin after about 20 mins, even if i oversprayed.. :( All in all longevity and sillage are poor for my skin but i feel it is a good mix. Compliment getter for sure, although may sound invisible for some users (like me). A 'mythique' fav for sure!
I know the notes list tangerine and I guess this is where the citrus tinge is coming from, but what I smell right from the start is the scent of freshly peeled green melon rinds. Juicy and mouthwatering. An intriguing fragrance, slightly aquatic, weirdly dusty, mainly flowery, fairly androgynous. All delivered with a delicate brush and soft sandalwood whispers in the end. ***(**)
It's the perfect blend of fresh greens, flowers and citrus (Tangerine). I'm fascinated by this one. It's just beautiful and makes me look forward to wearing this more in the warmer months.
Can anyone tell me if there is any difference between the mythiques extravagance in the brown box with red writing (and on the label as pictured here) compared with the light beige box/label (which I understand is the 2019 version)? If yes, which do you think is better? I am looking to blind buy a bottle and wondered whether there is any difference in the juice or whether I should just get the cheapest.
An interesting fragrance & one that has taught me just how important it is to test on your skin - don't rely on a tester strip!! On the tester strip, this smelt glorious...almost melon-like with a heady jasmine note that was really enticing. On my skin, however, the citrus is much more prominent from the beginning, then it morphs into a soapy jasmine with just a tinge of sharpness from the citrus, that comes & goes on the dry down. I find it endlessly fascinating how different fragrances perform on different skins, temperatures, etc. ***edited to add*** Interestingly, I tried this layered with Pure Honey by Kim Kardashian...& it removed the soapy note altogether. Now I get a gloriously warm citrus note. The almost melon-fragrance I was detecting on the tester strip is back. The jasmine has been dialled back a bit but I'm really liking the resulting fruity floral fragrance. Pure Honey just gives a lovely warm, sweet background to Extravagence. No soap; no sharpness. Definitely a good layering contender to see what else can be teased out of this.
