Reviews

This scent is reminiscent of old perfumed talc discovered in an attic. While marginally better than Love, Chloe, it still carries a strong, powdery, and bitter aroma. The smell has a certain nostalgic charm, evoking memories of grandmothers' vanity tables, but it can be overwhelming even in cold weather. When worn, it fills the room with a suffocating cloud of powdery bitterness, leaving little air to breathe. Although I enjoyed it on myself, especially after a couple of hours, it unfortunately gave my husband a headache. The dominant notes of heliotrope, iris, vanilla, and peru balsam make for a long-lasting fragrance with considerable sillage.

If I had to pick between these two options, I would opt for this one without hesitation. Both scents share similarities, but this intense version boasts a unique twist that elevates it above the original. Additionally, its enhanced strength makes it well-suited for winter wear, and I happened upon it by chance in a shop before the last bottle was snatched up, so I knew I had to make it mine!

Pencil shavings, wax, and wood are dominant notes in this perfume, which unfortunately means I don't catch any floral hints. I was really hoping to experience a beautiful powdery iris and fresh lilac combination, but it's not my cup of tea. While some may appreciate the sophisticated side of Love Eau Intense, it doesn't resonate with me.

Although I'm not typically drawn to perfumes that make a statement, this one caught my attention. Initially, I was underwhelmed by the scent, thinking it tried too hard. However, after re-spraying EDP Intense on paper cards in a department store yesterday, something about it resonated with me. Christmas memories came flooding back. Upon putting some on my wrist, I initially thought there was no noticeable projection, but as time passed, the fragrance unfolded beautifully. It's powdery, clean, soapy, sweet, spicy, warm, and gourmand – a unique blend that sits well on the skin with good longevity. I'm eager to continue testing this gem, which I'd give 10 points out of 10 at this stage 😊

Now, when I have the perfume, I find the intense version less overwhelming than the Eau de Parfum. What I wanted to reduce in the EDP is its strong projection, which can be monstrous and harsh. The intense version smells deeper and wraps around my skin from the start, although I wouldn't say it's completely sillage-free - instead, it's translucent yet persuasive. I'd advise those considering between EDP and Intense that if you're looking for a scent with less impact but still beautiful, subtle projection, go for the intense version. 🌸💧
