Starts out citrusy - waaay too much for my liking. Frankly, it’s off putting. Then about 45 minutes to an hour later, it has finally calmed a tad down. We’re talking just 🤏🏼😆 In the background I can detect some sweet creaminess whispering but unfortunately the citrus is just too loud and noisy. It’s strange, because it’s intimate in that sense of barely having any silage but when I smell my wrist up close it’s loud and pinching my nose. After six hours I can smell the heliotrope mixed with some wooden notes and the citrus - those notes basically never leave. If it wasn’t for the fact that I wanted to see how this developed, I would’ve scrubbed it off after that first hour. Yes, it’s a very clean scent but whoooh, it smacks you in the face. It’s a citrusy bomb😂 At least the longevity is great - six hours and still going strong.
Soft and sexy..... holy, i was originally going in for nomade, which i also really love but this one is sooo creamy and alluring.... I had to buy it first before nomade
This scent doesn't smell like OG lovestory to me at all. That one is all straight up musky orange blossom, this one is much more. It's more soft, sweet, smooth, silky powdery, and more complex without being complicated or stuffy. Sensuelle is correct! I smelled this for the first time in the Dallas Airport a few years ago. I got stuck there because a tornado interrupted my flight home. I was freaking out so I went to sooth myself in the perfume shop. I wandered around until I found this bottle and went straight for it. This scent on my wrist was a little safety point that I returned to throughout the airport stress to ground myself. It was very comforting. After I got home I eventually bought a bottle. Since then I've rediscovered it through passing seasons and last night was one of those rediscoveries. I wanted something sensual and comforting and soft, and I remembered this lovely little thing. I slept so well wearing this :) It opens fresh and clean with sweet bergamot and flowers. It warms on the skin and reveals cozy heliotrope. On me, in the dry down I get mostly those notes and ambery sandalwood. It's all about fresh light warmth. A pink sundress with dappled golden sunlight on bare shoulders. Demure in a sexy but not too serious or try hard way. She's effortless.
This is extremely similar to the original Love Story EDP, to the point where I feel owning both might be redundant. Like the original, this is very soapy especially in the opening, like a dryer sheet. But where the original is fruity, Eau Sensuelle is more powdery. And rather than being bright and sunny, it's musky. Love Story is like a crisp cotton sundress dried on the line and Eau Sensuelle is like a well-loved tee fresh out of the dryer. I'm a big lover of both and I don't know how I'd ever decide which one to buy; that said, I feel like Eau Sensuelle would be easier to wear year-round.
my favorite floral perfume! its fresh, sweet, classy, and feminine. work safe perfume, wont give anyone a headache. you really couldn’t go wrong with this one.
