Reviews

I received a sample of this fragrance to try and found it to be pleasant, classy, and true to its floral roots. While it's a nice scent, I didn't find anything particularly remarkable about it. The price point seems steep for what you get, but the elegance it exudes is undeniable.

I concur that this fragrance features a prominent plastic doll note. While I've previously tried L'Eau d'Hiver, I've always been perplexed by its popularity. Our senses are indeed unique and subjective, much like our vision. It's possible that individual body chemistry plays a significant role in how we perceive scents. In my case, when I catch a whiff of this perfume on the sleeves of my jackets or coats while visiting stores that sell it, I'm still trying to detect any nuances beyond its dominant notes of baby bottle and floral yogurt. Unlike others who may appreciate wonderful floral gardens or fresh flowers, I fail to recognize anything pleasant in this scent. Occasionally, I can smell it without feeling queasy; at other times, the sensation is unbearable. To reiterate, the floral milkiness reminds me of unpleasant odors, akin to baby puke on clean clothes.

Love In White embodies refined elegance, reminiscent of a stylish woman in a sleek outfit on a warm sunny day. The magnolia and citrus notes stand out, with the latter adding a gentle boost to the former's prominence. This sophisticated scent effortlessly transitions from everyday wear (think jeans and a crisp shirt) to more formal settings, such as an outdoor tea party. Without being overly youthful or staid, Love In White strikes a perfect balance of sophistication and charm.

This dry white floral with ambergris in the base is surprisingly austere, yet intriguing. The rice note creates a distinctive effect, transporting me to the sensation of inserting my face into a bag of plain white rice, redolent of aerosol dustiness. Beneath this surface lies an air of mystery, reminiscent of Ralph Ellison's Invisible Man, where the addition of a single drop of black paint elevates whiteness to an otherworldly level. While not visually stunning, this scent exudes a refined and youthful sophistication rather than aged maturity. Its subtle projection lingers for hours, leaving a soft impression on my skin.

I'm fixated on rice notes in fragrances, but unfortunately, this one feels like a watered-down interpretation of Myths Woman to me.
