This perfume presents itself as a warm, rich green hue with a medicinal undertone, lacking the intense darkness I had anticipated. The fragrance exhibits a surprisingly fresh and minty quality that deviates from my expectations. Despite its divergence from my initial hopes, it remains a fascinatingly complex scent. The aroma reminds me of unwinding in a forest glade at night, surrounded by the soft glow of a campfire and the soothing sensation of medicinal balm on weary limbs – an experience that is more calming, gentle, yet still distinctly green and unique.
This scent is like a powerful rendition of Memo Russian Leather! 💥👀
This Amouage is another winner in my book, following Epic's impressive start. The more I wear it, the more I appreciate its intricate development, lingering presence, and unexpected nuances. The initial green wormwood/basil/mint combination is absolute perfection - I could smell it all day, but alas, it gradually recedes, leaving a subtle echo behind. A rich incense and amber midsection gives way to a sweet tobacco dry down that initially took some getting used to, but now I'm thoroughly enjoying its unique character.
One of my favorite perfume experiences was transported to me through Amouage Memoir, evoking memories of combining fragrant herbs by the forest edge and beach. The incense in this scent adds a rich, savory quality reminiscent of freshly ground lime zest. Whenever I'm seeking to escape into nature on a rainy day, I enjoy wearing it while taking a stroll among the trees...
This perfume is incredibly verdant, evoking a hint of Nasomatto Absinth or Orto Parisi's green perfumes for me. Upon opening, I detect a prominent presence of artemisia, wormwood, and green resins, with hints of oak moss – essentially, it's an aromatic fougere with clean woody notes. The dry down is surprisingly clean and woodsy, lacking the warmth or sweetness I typically associate with perfumes. Thankfully, the mint here doesn't clash with spices like in Enclave, which would result in an unpleasant toothpaste-like aroma. Instead, it adds a refreshing green quality. Overall, this perfume feels natural, well-crafted, and worth the price, with excellent longevity and strength. However, I must caution that it's potent – use sparingly to avoid overwhelming others. This is a masculine scent through and through. 🌿💪
