The scent begins with a pleasant freshness, only to dissipate into a pedestrian quality.
This perfume doesn't evoke the same scent profile as See by Chloe or the original Chloe, which I've had experience with. Fragrantica could benefit from a more nuanced rating system, perhaps situated between "Ok" and "Like". For me, this fragrance falls squarely in between those two options. When I select "ok", it means I think someone else can enjoy it without any issues, whereas "like" implies I would wear the perfume myself. However, my recent discovery is that I'm no longer inclined to feel compelled to own a scent simply because I like it - what an astonishing realization!
This perfume truly bewitches me. Its introduction is crisp and citrusy with notes of orange, only to transform into a captivating blend of musk, violet, and sweet blackberry, evoking the warmth of skin. Absolutely breathtaking! 😊
The perfume emits a crisp, fresh aroma reminiscent of a berry soap, with a subtle undertone of musk that adds depth to its clean profile, yet it's not the typical "clean girl" scent one would expect. The initial burst of berry is particularly delightful, making this and Dear Polly lovely springtime fragrances.
It took some time for me to develop an affection for this perfume, only truly appreciating its charm once I had almost finished the bottle. At first, all I detected was a scent reminiscent of soapy bubble bath, which left me underwhelmed during the winter months. However, as spring arrived and the weather warmed up, something magical happened – the fragrance transformed into a beautiful, crystalline expression of violet that sparkled with a sweet but subtle quality. Its appeal is understated yet sophisticated, making it easy to wear and truly special.
