When it comes to layering perfumes, this is my go-to base scent. It’s a sweet amber blend with woodsy and vanilla undertones, occasionally offering a warm powdery floral note. My body chemistry seems to neutralize any bergamot from Rosewood scents, but I love adding citrus bergamot perfumes on top. The Victoria Secret 2013 collection is a great example—while their perfumes don’t last long on their own, layering them over this base extends the scent into a sultry, long-lasting fragrance. It’s perfect for evening use.
Oh my gosh! It's just so warm and inviting! Loaded with vanilla, woodsy notes, and amber. This scent lasts forever and smells like a rich, warm, woody feast. I'm totally in love!
The scent is striking. It evokes warmth and comfort, much like a snug sweater. The true magic lies in its drydown. The blend masterfully balances warmth with a subtle purity. This perfectly captures the essence I love. Faint whispers of enigmatic spices add depth to the scent. Its composition is seamlessly crafted. I plan to buy a backup, as I wouldn't want to be without it.
I get why others might appreciate this scent—it’s decent enough. However, my experience with it is clouded by a personal connection. When I tested it, I kept thinking there was something very familiar—almost like an air freshener from my summers as a kid. It brought back vivid memories of summer camp, specifically the scent of the bathrooms there—likely that air freshener! The name might be a bit deceiving, as this isn’t woody at all but rather a rich blend of vanilla-amber and bergamot. I don’t feel that the tea contributes any freshness to the mix here. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend it to anyone looking for something unique—personal associations make it hard for me to enjoy it objectively.
This winter has been pretty gloomy and cold, but this perfume has been a bright spot. It’s a comforting blend of sweetness with hints of amber, wood, and vanilla, and it feels clean too. I wasn’t sure about the initial strong scent, but after a few minutes, it became really dreamy. It also lasts on my skin, which is a big plus. It smells like something high-end even though it’s not designer perfume, and I’m so glad I stumbled upon it by accident!
