I absolutely love this fragrance! It feels like a more oriental twist on Eau de Soir. The balsamic notes and incense add layers of depth, while still retaining that fresh green quality from the original. I decided to purchase it because I spotted a good deal and usually enjoy trying perfumes, but I'm now a bit unsure since I already own Eau de Soir. The differences aren't jumping out at me as significant. Performance-wise, it's long-lasting, as many Tom Ford fragrances tend to be, and the quality of ingredients feels top-notch, giving it an authentic, natural scent. This perfume is intense yet balanced with a touch of freshness, making it incredibly versatile—perfect for evening wear but also elegant enough for daytime. I believe it's truly unisex, appealing to everyone. Scent: 9/10 Longevity: 8/10 Sillage: 7/10 Quality/Price: 7/10 Versatility: 9/10 Originality: 6/10 Overall Rating: 8.5/10
It's a masterfully crafted scent, specifically the black variation. It shifts through various moods throughout the day, each one appealing enough to want to wear during different moments. Despite being incorrectly labeled as women's scent on Fragrantica.com, this is a unisex perfume, making it versatile for both men and women. I don't limit myself to just masculine fragrances, and Soir de' Orient 2010 from Sisley certainly works wonders on my skin, leaving a lasting impression that stays fresh for around six hours on my dry skin. My partner loved it as a masculine scent, though.
I really had my heart set on loving this perfume. I've been reading about it for years and debating whether to take the plunge and buy it blind, just to see if it would work for me. Then one day while shopping on Fragrant’s site for something else, I stumbled upon this perfume and saw they had a travel version available. That was exciting! I quickly added it to my cart along with the rest of my purchases. I couldn’t wait for it to arrive, so when it finally came, I was eager to try it. It always surprises me how long it takes for perfumes to ship. When I spritzed it on first, I wasn’t expecting this at all—it turned out to be a dark, dry, almost medicinal scent on me, nothing like the warm Oriental fragrance I had imagined. I was hoping for lots of amber and rose notes, but instead, it felt cold and clinical with no warmth or Oriental elements. Even the first spray made me take a step back; I didn’t realize how much I’d dislike it every time I wore it. The saffron and geranium really dominated the scent, making it feel sterile. I couldn’t understand wanting something that smells like a hospital, and nothing about it redeemed itself to me—not even the pale rose notes helped. I’m really glad I didn’t buy a bottle; it would have broken my heart if I had invested in it. This shows why you can’t rely solely on reviews; everyone’s nose is different. It's always best to try it yourself, especially when it’s pricey. I know this must smell fantastic on the right person, but unfortunately, that person isn’t me. Though there’s a silver lining—a friend I passed it on to adored it, and she told me how wonderful it is on her. You truly never know until you try it, and how skin chemistry works is pretty wild.
"It's one of Sisley's better perfumes, but I still find it a bit too plain and overwhelming. It reminds me a lot of Agent Provocateur, but it lacks that delicate subtlety."
Wow, I love this perfume! It's so deep and mysterious with that cold vibe—I can't get enough of it. Every time I sniff it, I feel like I'm in a dark, sacred space, surrounded by incense as if I'm being cleansed from within. It feels almost temple-like, you know? Not sweet at all, and definitely not sexy. If temples or spiritual vibes aren't your thing, this might not be for you. But to me, it's a totally spiritual experience. And wow, does it ever suit casual clothes! No way, this is all about elegance and class. I'm totally in love with this fragrance! ❤️
