Reviews

This perfume embodies refined elegance, with a subtle sophistication that's perfect for a woman who exudes poise and self-assurance (whether in years or personality). While it may not have an exact duplicate in terms of scent (old-school chypres come closest), its timeless quality is undeniable. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if I'm mature enough to pull off this fragrance, but perhaps with time, I'll grow into it!

I recently ventured out in search of a new 'signature scent'; if you're on the lookout for an extraordinary, remarkable perfume that stands out from the crowd, then I highly recommend giving this one a try. It's incredibly warm and inviting, reminiscent of a cozy hug. The amount of honey present is truly impressive - at first, I barely detected the rose. As someone who typically prefers lighter, fresher fragrances, I was surprised to find that I didn't mind the sweetness in this case; the dark, plant-based honey blends seamlessly with sandalwood and spices. I found myself obsessing over this scent for nearly 90 minutes, unable to stop sniffing and trying to unravel its complexities. However, as it dried down, the rose became overpowering, and I detected a dry, musty note that recalled the scent of talcum powder. While I think this perfume would be perfect for someone who adores rose, unfortunately, it's not suited for my personal taste. In the end, I developed a headache and tried to remove it from my skin, but it lingered on for several hours - even after multiple washings! This is an undeniably unique and fascinating fragrance that's well worth the investment, yet it may only appeal to specific individuals.

I concur with Victoria. Those unfamiliar with subtle, nuanced fragrances may deem this perfume overpowering and unpleasant.

Well-crafted chypre, a rare find in today's perfume landscape. I was taken aback to discover that Dominique Ropion, whose work I typically associate with alluring florals like Carnal Flower or Jasmin Kusamono, is behind this creation. While it shares one trait with those other two - its suitability for evening wear.

It's intriguing that someone can perceive a scent as dated while still owning a Mitsouko perfume.
