Tea Tonique is, indeed, similar to Wulong Cha. However, I find TT to be a little smoother and cozier. All of the bright and clean notes of citrus and tea with the hint of spring blossoms and nutmeg giving a gentle wink. Even though WC’s performance is superior, I will be decluttering in favor of TT.
this smell very similar to jo malone earl grey n cucumber. I like it :)
I do like this fragrance, but not on me. I love the opening of the fresh, zesty tea and would have bought a bottle of it didn’t develop too much further, but the dry down has something slightly bitter and spicy about it that catches in my throat and leans too masculine for my taste.
this is beautiful. it sits so closely to many other fragrances in the genre but its anchors are wonderfully orchestrated. not a game changer by any means, but i do find the presence of tempered birch lends a depth that needs to be experienced on skin to appreciate fully. it's sparkly, vaguely earthy, and so unmistakably tea at the top and heart, and while that current runs through it the entire duration, the evolution to the base is particularly stunning. fantastic longevity from 3 spritzes. for something that feels almost watercolourish (think JCE jardin series for hermes) this really seems to hang around.
Gentle, fresh, interesting fragrance. One can detect a slightly bitter take on black tea (some fresh leaf tea in a box generates a fleetingly similar smell). The citrus component takes over and seems to provide the tonique component. Seems quite well balanced, although discreet. Typical of the house's green/herbal signature. Longevity is ok, sillage is moderate. In the end it develops into a mate/citrus combo. At all stages, this is polite and moderate.
