I'm not sure what I'd call this, but if I were smelling it blind, I wouldn't think "tuberose!". The overall experience is that it's a jumble of smells that don't necessarily connect with each other. A little discordant. The opening is green and earthy, a bit bitter and sour. I sense something like a green rhubarb and/or black currant which can smell like a mash-up of BO and cat pee to me, and it verges on that here. It's also quite green and stemmy, with the dirty roots in there. As that all calms down it ends up smelling suddenly like Big Red gum that's been chewed for a bit, so the spice is more muted. It becomes sweeter- slightly vanillic, with a memory of tuberose at this point, and stays there but gradually just fades. I can see the comparison to LAP Nuit de Tuberose at this point, NdT having a dose of cardamom. Overall it's kinda weird, but not in a compelling way for me. Weird, but also pretty underwhelming ultimately, though not unpleasant. Low sillage.
I'm finally going to put my my review for this as I've actually ordered a full bottle. First application; I got a nose full of pepper. It was a bit stronger than I had initially anticipated. Along with that you get this push of green notes along with it. The first 15 or so minutes I get this rather Red Hots Candy smell. After that, then and only then, do I smell the Tuberose Absolute. Its certainly a different Tuberose than anything I have in my perfume wardrobe, this is lighter, and I dare say, friendlier. But it still envelopes the wearer in its embrace. The florals do a Pas de Gras around each other, and in the background you get a lovely creaminess of coconut milk, amber, musk, and pepper. I love how the notes wind around each other and compliment each other. Its just an amazing juice. Certainly a long lasting scent on me, I clocked it at well over 10 hours with 4 sprays. I would say its worth sampling for sure.
I love tuberose, it's my favorite flower but this was a literal scrubber on me. It is way too green for me, and there is a metallic scent here that is so strong it makes my teeth hurt. Weird, I know.
I love this scent, it is a new very original approach to tubereuse. The first time I smelled it was on a card, it seemed then greener and spicer than it was when I could finally test it on skin. Not a linear scent at all, first blast is green weat tuberose flower with lots of pink pepper. It suddenly changes with a short rubber phase to a milkier and warmer (benzoin) stage that slowly melts into a very subtle woody and powdery and sightly animalic tuberose that seems to float 2 millimeters above the skin. It is extremely close to skin on me and here comes my big problem with it, just lasted for a couple of hours... What a terrible thing, really if it had low projection but at least an acceptable longevity, I would buy a full bottle, even if that meant saving for several months. I just can't find the way to justify paying such a high price when it would be having such a short life on me. I guess I'll try to buy a sample, just for the pleasure of smelling it from time to time, but can't go for a full bottle in this condition. It could have been the perfect tuberose summer daily perfume :( EDIT: I had a chance to get a bottle for a better price and now it is mine. Sometimes you just need to be patient.
Several have said it smells green but I have to disagree. It smells very "yellow". This smells like I rubbed the flower pollen on my skin. Smells fine. After about an hour there is a little bit of a plastic afterglow. I can wear this in combo with brighter florals.
