Oriental cousin to Flowerbomb from V&R, with a quality akin to Montale's masterpieces ๐. The appealing complementing fragrance has won me over with its loveliness and strength ๐ช. Highly recommended for anyone who adores Flowerbomb! ๐
The prominent "radiance" ingredient, iso-E-super, dominates Montale Vanilla Extasy, clearing my sinuses and nasal passages within a few minutes of application. Essentially, this perfume can be described as vanilla-flavored iso-E-super! Although I also detect benzoin, the scent is primarily a radiant bomb with a hint of vanilla. In the drydown, there's a fruity jam-like cast, but I'm unable to identify the specific fruit. Does this source of radiance evoke ecstasy in perfume enthusiasts? Judging by some reviews, yes! Others find it too sweet, but it's actually less sweet than most vanilla perfumes, so those who dislike sweetness may want to avoid vanilla-based fragrances altogether. For those who enjoy vanilla in their perfumes, Vanilla Extasy offers a unique take that stands out from the crowd. Whether one will appreciate this scent ultimately hinges on their opinion of iso-E-super.
I must admit that my taste buds do not align with those of Montale, and accordingly, I have reached the point where I can no longer appreciate their creations. The dominant presence of synthetic notes in this perfume overpowers any potential vanilla undertones, rendering it unbearable to me.
The renowned "radiance" ingredient, iso-E-super, dominates Montale Vanilla Extasy, instantly clearing my sinuses and nasal passages within a couple of minutes of application. Essentially, we have here a vanilla-infused iso-E-super experience! While this might be an oversimplification, I also detect notes of benzoin, but the overall effect is a radiant, vanilla-tinged masterpiece in the drydown, with a fruit jam-like quality that remains unidentified to me. Does this prominent source of radiance induce ecstasy in perfume enthusiasts? Judging by some reviews: yes! Others seem to find this composition too sweet, likely due to their general aversion to vanilla. For those who enjoy vanilla in perfumes, Vanilla Extasy offers a distinctive take and stands out from the crowd, as I'm not aware of another creation like this one. Whether one will appreciate it hinges on their opinion of iso-E-super, in my view.
Gorgeous and intoxicatingly seductive, this scent is one of my go-to choices, I must admit. Vanilla Ecstasy bears a striking resemblance to Flowerbomb, but Montale's woody base elevates the fragrance to a new level. While it has become slightly more incense-like after a year of use, I find that this adds depth to the scent rather than detracting from it.
