Sometimes, when I crave escapism from the ordinary crowd, only one scent will do. Guerlain Vol de Nuit. This effortlessly soaring fragrance makes everything feel just right. Can I dissect its components or discuss its longevity? I could. But I won't. VdN has it all – florals, woods, spices... perhaps it's a bit of an eclectic blend. Yet, the result is sublime! It smells divine from afar, wafting from that stylish person who just passed by. It's enchanting when your nose is pressed to your wrist. And, I'm surprised and delighted when I catch its ghostly hint inside my leather bag, where VdN has lingered recently. All I want to add to what others have said is that if Paradise had a scent, it would be this.

Fragrances like Vol de Nuit have me questioning whether my affinity for them is rooted in past experiences that transcend time and space... how else could I form an emotional connection to a scent that predates my existence? This perfume whisks me away to a somber late winter afternoon, where the gray sky meets the dark branches, and I yearn for the first hint of spring, a longing that dates back- In essence, it captures the essence of wishing for spring's arrival after a long, cold winter.

I adore this fragrance! I had the opportunity to try a sample and was immediately hooked, which led my thoughtful sister to gift me a 30ml propeller bottle of the parfum. While it may not appeal to everyone's taste, in my opinion, it is truly exceptional. The scent evolves beautifully on the skin, much like Mitsouko, with notes that are reminiscent of soap, greenery, smoke, and something utterly wonderful.

One of Guerlain's most exceptional perfumes, although its longevity leaves something to be desired. It shares similarities with Jicky and Shalimar, yet possesses a distinct character. I need to apply a significant amount for the fragrance to be noticeable on my skin. Unfortunately, I've only come across the EdT version, which may impact the overall experience. Despite being almost finished with my current bottle, I'll repurchase it more as a collector's item than out of regular use.

Vol de Nuit is a stunning fragrance that exemplifies oriental-chypre mastery. Its unique blend of cool, green, and woody notes, combined with powdery florals and subtle spices, creates an alluring scent. The opening is characterized by prominent bergamot and aldehyde undertones, while iris takes center stage in the heart. The base note is a masterful mix of moss, vanilla, and sandalwood, showcasing Guerlain's exceptional craftsmanship. One of their most impressive creations to date!
