This perfume is a delightful green freshness in a bottle! 78 Vintage Green, which sounds like something J.R.R. Tolkien might have named for a particularly fine pipe-weed in The Lord of the Rings, opens with an invigorating blend of fresh, spicy bergamot. I immediately detect vetiver, which adds a slightly bitter and peppery edge to the scent. As the fragrance evolves, it reminds me of lemon iced tea—a light, airy vibe that keeps the freshness alive. It's impressive how the bergamot stays noticeable throughout the mid and even into the base notes. While I don't pick up any fruity or creamy fig notes, the scent has a crisp, green quality that feels unique and refreshing. The floral elements add a touch of sweetness, balancing the tartness of the bergamot and the bitterness from the vetiver and tea combo. In the later stages, there's a clean muskiness that emerges, though it’s subtle and only becomes noticeable after the initial uplift has faded. The scent is incredibly linear, which is a plus given how stellar it smells. It projects well for about three-quarters of an hour before fading, with lingering traces on my skin for a few more hours. When sprayed on clothing, the green notes persist much longer—making it a fantastic mood booster. This perfume is perfect for tropical or sub-tropical climates where humidity keeps the scent fresh and vibrant. I'm not sure it would have the same effect in a dry, hot desert environment. It's office-friendly and a great bargain at discounters' prices. My batch number is 19171RB from 2019, and I can't recommend it enough!
A refreshing blend of lemon and honey makes this iced tea really inviting. It’s not as grassy as I anticipated—more reminiscent of Wulong Cha than Philosykos-Green.
I've been considering this perfume for a while now. I’ve spotted it at various retail stores and even added it to my cart a few times before deciding to put it back. Alongside Neroli Woods, Tobacco and Tonka Bean, and Metal Rain, which I already own, Vintage Green stands out as the best of the bunch. The scent kicks off with a bright blend of bergamot and mandarin, backed by sharp greens and magnolia. It feels natural and refreshing right from the get-go. As the perfume develops, hints of tea begin to emerge, with a touch of fig that ties everything together seamlessly. The composition reminds me a lot of Acqua di Parma, though I think Vintage Green leans more toward a masculine vibe compared to Wulong Cha. While it shares some similarities with Versace Man Eau Fraiche, the quality here feels superior. In terms of value, this perfume is a steal at $20. I’d easily pay triple that for something this good. Scent-wise, it's an 8.75/10—bright, uplifting, and oddly calming all at once. The performance is decent too, lasting about 5 to 6 hours. A few sprays should do the trick, as it starts strong before mellowing out nicely over time.
This scent is quite lovely. The initial sharpness of the citrus, which has a slight tanginess, softens after around 30 minutes. As the greens take hold, it offers a fresh, herbal, and spicy undertone that feels close to the skin. It’s worth considering spraying it a bit more if you can handle the strong citrus note at first.
atlantis is spot on, yet there’s almost no fig present, which leaves me scratching my head about how it's deemed the most prominent note—it’s almost mind-boggling! That aside, what an incredible fragrance. The juicy bergamot citrus really shines here, even evoking a similarity to zegna aqua bergamotto. It transitions into a soapy, musky drydown, offering an uplifting green vibe if ever there was one. A lovely creation from BR!
