Ananda's essence resonates deeply within me - a testament to his unwavering pursuit of truth, radiating joy and innocence like a beacon of enlightening energy. I sense that Micallef has masterfully distilled the very spirit of Ananda into this perfume, capturing the unbridled joy and innocence that lies within each of us if we but look deep enough.
My sample vial is labeled Micallef Black Ananda, yet I'm convinced it's actually Ananda based on the notes and people's reactions to it 🤔. This scent has a very fruity quality, reminiscent of Lancôme Trésor or something from the 80s crafted by Sophia Grojsman - a blend of peach, plum, pear, vanilla, and flowers 🔥. It seems Micallef took a familiar designer-inspired fragrance and rebranded it as niche luxury. While I'm not accusing them of plagiarism, this concept isn't new 🙅♂️. Maybe this would be thrilling for those unfamiliar with the iconic designer perfumes of the 20th century, but having vintage bottles of Trésor and Estée Lauder Tuscany per Donna, I find it redundant 🔒. Moreover, it's not as impressive...
Smells pleasant yet evokes memories of a soap or someone who has just emerged from bathing. A lovely scent, but it's not what I'm looking for in a fragrance, as it gives off a shower-like aura. It does, however, remind me of Dior's J'Adore.
I was anticipating a more enigmatic and sultry aroma, but this perfume has pleasantly deviated from my expectations. The sweet and creamy freshness is surprisingly alluring, evoking memories of a familiar body wash or body cream I once used. Interestingly, it also bears a resemblance to Tresor. This fragrance is lovely and innocuous, making me imagine how delightful it would be for someone beautiful.
The Ananda perfume didn't quite live up to my expectations; its scent reminded me of an impulse deodorant spray, and I found myself unimpressed with its rather mundane aroma.
