One of my absolute favorites! The blend of musk and flowers in this perfume is simply delightful, exuding a gentle sweetness that's neither too overpowering nor too subtle for my taste buds.
A subtle powdered musk fragrance dominates this scent, with the musk being its primary focus. The soapy quality is refined, avoiding any tackiness, although it does evoke a hint of hairspray. To me, this is a toned-down rendition of Narciso Rodriguez's signature fragrance. This perfume exudes elegance, reliability, and pleasantness. However, its longevity leaves much to be desired, as the scent barely lingers after 2 hours. In three words: MUSKY - VOLATILE - ELEGANT.
I picked up a tester of Essence from Marie Claire MAGAZINE yesterday, and I was pleasantly surprised by its clean, soapy, and white musk aroma. It has excellent longevity and feels "cool" on the skin. I really enjoy it! The scent is very modern and casual, making it perfect for everyday wear with outfits like skinny blue jeans, flat black boots, a black leather jacket, dark sunglasses, and a big black purse - think rock'n roll style. The bottle is also stunning! Essence is fresh and modern, reminding me of the BLV type. It's no surprise, given that Alberto Morillas, the nose behind BLV fragrances, was involved in its creation. I highly recommend giving it a try!
Sun-kissed warmth, whispers of sea breeze, earthy undertones, and a splash of vibrant citrus. As I wear this perfume, I'm enveloped by the sensual allure of fresh skin, leaving me feeling seductive and alluring.
I appreciate this scent 8/10. The musk and fresh rose notes resonate with me. While I crave stronger Iris or Violet accents, their absence leaves me feeling nostalgic, as if something is missing from both the perfume and my life. This sensation mirrors the void I sometimes experience in my mood and overall well-being. Despite this, I'm intrigued to explore other fragrances within this powder/Iris/musc family. Interestingly, I despise the Narciso Rodriguez for Her; its heaviness and darkness evoke feelings of fear and anxiety in me.
