To me, this fragrance is reminiscent of a rather unpleasant bodily secretion. It's definitely one of the most unappealing scents I've had the misfortune to encounter, rivalled only by another perfume that shall remain nameless 🚽😷
This perfume initially presents itself as a familiar, mass-market designer fragrance, similar to Calvin Klein's Deny Eau de Parfum.
I finally had the opportunity to purchase a reasonably priced bottle after sampling it in-store over a year ago. The scent has evolved significantly from my initial impression. The bergamot is remarkably fresh and vibrant, and I appreciate the robust cedar undertones. This fragrance is suitable for year-round wear, as Burberry perfumes are known for their reliable performance and moderate longevity.
This perfume is a classic take on a masculine fragrance, designed to appeal to a broad audience. Its straightforward style evokes memories of popular men's colognes from the 1980s and is likely to resonate with those who appreciate timeless scents. Although it may seem simple at first glance, the blend of bergamot and juniper berry creates a unique character that is both raw and refined. The wood notes add depth without overpowering the other elements, resulting in a fragrance that is unapologetically masculine yet accessible to most people. While some perfume enthusiasts might find it too straightforward, its mass-market appeal is undeniable, making it no surprise that it's a best-seller in the US right now. Its packaging, featuring bold lettering on a golden-hued brick-like design, effectively communicates this clarity and helps it stand out among other perfumes with more flashy marketing.
Reminds me of a more radiant iteration of Dior Homme 2020.
