That is a true blast of emotions at first sniff, I absolutely fell in love with it right at first smell, it combines the classical elements like hyacinyh, jasmine and honey with unexpected contrasts like juniper berry and broom. Smells exquisite makes me feel so luxurious whenever I wear it. Definitely a masterpiece, whose next bottle I continously buy without emptying the previous one.
sweet blooming jasmines, just like blooming in my garden right now. not indolic at all. ilha do mel, as the name suggests, also presents the jasmines dripping in honey. making it less sticky/too sweet, is a hint of floral green-ness and a drop of sweet orange. golden and beautiful. wearing this makes me feel relaxed. perfect for anytime!
This is a fragrance for a Gardenia Lover Also you smell notes of mandarin, jasmine, juniper, and gardenia. The sweet floral and musk adds to the heighten note of the gardenia which last all day and year round.
Lots of jasmine; hints of hyacinth and sweetness (but I don't detect a separate honey note). Surprisingly formal/mature considering how recently it was released.
You may call me pooh, as I adore honey in perfumes and I can tell you that despite so many other claimed fragrances, there is enough dose of honey in this perfume. There is also something woody like sandalwood which is rather pleasant. So, do I like island of honey? that's a challenging question. I should confess that this perfume reminds me of two other ones: Back to Black (by Kilian) and Alien, the latter being my worst nightmare. The similarity is more tangible in dry down, when jasmine gets substantial. The good point is that the fragrance is not too strong to handle like some leather flacons, yet I should say farewell to this memo, as I can't tolerate anything like alien.
