After several tries, I reluctantly passed this perfume down to my mom. Unfortunately, it clashes with my skin - the jasmine note comes across as unpleasantly overpowering. While it has good longevity, which is actually a drawback here. I've found that Bvlgari's fragrances don't mesh well with my personal taste 🚫

Based on the reviews here, I took a chance without sampling. I was really excited, reviewers mentioned incense, sophistication, and intriguing notes that caught my attention. I adore scents like almonds, gardenias, jasmine, liquorice, amber, and tonka bean. High hopes indeed! The initial spray is bold with jasmine and playdough notes for me, followed by a lovely almond-gardenia combination which is truly beautiful. The middle has a noticeable wood note that's just tolerable. After this, I can detect greenness and a touch of patchouli that balances out the sweetness. Then vanilla and musk linger. I don't find this as heavy-spicy or interesting as the reviews suggested; it's a nice, pretty, woody-floral fragrance that's risk-free. I was under the impression Bvlgari was known for its powerful perfumes. So I expected fireworks with Jasmine Noir. I guess I was a sucker for advertising (don't you hate that?!), as I love Kate Moss and the bottle is stunning. The biggest disappointment is its longevity; it's not what I'd define as a "night" fragrance, but rather a quick, pleasant olfactory journey to the safety of faint vanilla and musk.

This perfume bears a striking resemblance to M by Mariah Carey, yet it's distinct in its own ways. While M is sweeter and more complex, this one has a lighter, more addictive quality that I attribute to the almond nuance in the composition. The gardenia dominates my senses, with a subtle smokiness possibly contributed by the licorice, which adds depth to the scent. Despite the bottle's grandeur, the perfume itself is surprisingly light and airy. I also detect hints of Alien, particularly in the jasmine and amber combination, although the gardenia remains the most prominent note. Additionally, there's a whisper of Kim Kardashian's signature brown-bottle fragrance. If I were to break down the scent's components, I'd say 85% M, 10% Alien, and 5% Kim K, but this perfume still has its own unique character. The licorice adds a smoky quality that becomes noticeable when you take in deep breaths of the perfume. And the almond sets it apart, making it a truly enjoyable scent. 😊

Dior Addict's fragrance profile is rooted in a rich, spicy character with prominent notes of vanilla. Meanwhile, Jasmin Noir exudes a more complex, seductive essence that is deeply influenced by the earthy, woody undertones of tonka bean, complemented by sweet almond and heady jasmine.

This perfume is a pleasant surprise. It doesn't conform to my expectations based on its name. Initially, I perceive a predominantly gardenia/tuberose/orchid scent - despite these notes not being listed. The fragrance opens with a potent, sweet white floral that, in my opinion, is reminiscent of tuberose or orchid, but ultimately reveals itself as gardenia. Following this introduction, a strong jasmine note emerges, similar to the one found in Mugler's Alien. However, it doesn't overpower the other notes; instead, it subtly complements them. After a few minutes, I start to detect a slightly spicy woody undertone that I attribute to sandalwood. The other notes, such as almonds and green notes, are less noticeable. Overall, this perfume is refined and has a rich quality, similar to a better version of Roberto Cavalli's Nero Assoluto - it's more complex, sophisticated, and long-lasting. As I've only recently acquired the fragrance, I'm still evaluating its strength; the initial opening was quite potent, but it quickly recedes from my perception, possibly due to anosmia or habituation. I'll continue to wear it throughout the day to gauge its performance.
