Reviews

If you're seeking a scent that projects strongly from the skin, Not A Perfume isn't the ideal choice. However, it presents a sophisticated and mature combination of amber and woody notes, accompanied by a subtle sweetness during the drydown phase when I inspect my wrist. While I don't appreciate having to sniff my wrist to perceive its aroma, this perfume does have its own unique charm. It exudes a gentle, calming, warm quality reminiscent of a soothing hug, but unfortunately, it's fleeting like a brief embrace.

I am absolutely enamored with this perfume! It's particularly well-suited for layering, and I find it incredibly alluring. Although some of my acquaintances struggle to detect its presence, I believe that the essence of this fragrance is deeply rooted in its unique experience - initially, I was underwhelmed by a strong alcohol note, but after repeated wearings, it grew on me and I'm thrilled it did!

This perfume would be more accurately named "Juliette Has Gone Camping" as all I detect are subtle notes of light musk, robust woods, and something refreshing with a growing metallic or minty nuance, reminiscent of brushing my teeth in a forest. Unfortunately, this scent left me feeling overwhelmed to the point where I had to vigorously scrub it off my skin, only to still be able to smell its faint presence, including a somewhat pleasant musk trail that lingered. Ultimately, it's clear that my body chemistry is incompatible with this fragrance, making it a definite no-go for me.

I discovered this fragrance at Marshall's on the cheap, initially I was ambivalent about it, unsure if I'd be willing to pay full price. Nevertheless, the scent is quite pleasant and I've received compliments; someone even stopped me at work after several hours of application, exclaiming "omg what is that?!" - a testament to its lingering presence. Interestingly, when my coworker wore it, her friend noted it didn't smell the same as on me, which was surprising given how quickly it had disappeared from my own senses. Perhaps I've simply become desensitized to its aroma; regardless, I'd classify this perfume as a hidden gem - clean and warm with staying power.

I've experienced a scent that utterly failed to impress me - this perfume left me unimpressed from the very first spritz, with an unusual pickle-like odor dominating the senses. Upon application, it surprisingly vanished without leaving a noticeable trace on my skin. Overall, I find it perplexing and overrated.
