Such a lovely fragrance! The aroma is reminiscent of fresh citruses blended with the luxurious texture of a high-end face cream, featuring soft, musky, and slightly powdery notes that evoke a sense of calm and serenity. Initially, I thought it would be a more mainstream scent, but upon closer inspection, I found it to be surprisingly complex and well-balanced.
The phrase that comes to mind when I think of this perfume is "Money talks, wealth whispers". It's truly stunning and has become one of my go-to fragrances. As it is, I've made it my daily signature scent, although I wish I hadn't fallen for its charm due to the hefty price tag. Luckily, I won a 125ml bottle on eBay for £35, so I'm thrilled. I agree with another reviewer who mentioned that if this were available in an Eau de Parfum, they'd buy four bottles - and I'd be right there with them! However, I have to admit that the projection isn't remarkable, and the longevity could be better. As a result, I wouldn't recommend paying full price for it or encouraging others to do so. Nevertheless, I'm hopelessly in love, and I'll be scouring eBay for another bottle when mine runs out, as I find myself craving this scent's effortless natural beauty. I'm even considering the body lotion as well. For me, Chanel is a legendary perfume house, and with five of their scents already in my collection, they've got a dedicated customer in me.
I'm utterly enamored with this scent! 💕 I've been putting it to the test since summertime and absolutely swoon over its crisp, clean aroma - it's reminiscent of a refreshing lotion treatment. So impressed that I've taken the plunge and purchased a full-sized bottle! 😊
This perfume brings to mind Les Exclusifs de Chanel's 1957, with its citrus top notes and powdery heart reminiscent of that scent. The sales associate at the Chanel counter informed me that these three Eaux can be worn by both men and women, but this one appears to have a distinctly classic femininity about it.
To me, this perfume is on par with Gabrielle in terms of wearability, but it lacks the more feminine, fruity essence of red berries. While I find Gabrielle to be playful and sweet, this one exudes a sense of maturity and quiet luxury, making it suitable for daily wear throughout the year. The opening is typical of Chanel fragrances, characterized by an initial burst of alcohol, which is a drawback for me – a common issue with many high-end fashion house perfumes. As the scent evolves, it transitions into a blend of citrus, soapy white florals (with neroli standing out), and a powdery dryness attributed to the orris and violet notes.
