Reviews

I applied Patchouli Leaves to my skin using an old sample I had. It settles into a rugged, earthy patchouli scent on me, blending subtle hints of vanilla and amber. While it’s labeled as unisex, it feels more masculine to me. I really love the patchouli note in perfumes, and this one does it justice. It’s a solid interpretation with good staying power and projection. However, I think it might be a bit too one-dimensional for my preferences. At this price point, it’s one of the best patchouli scents out there, but I didn’t invest in a full bottle myself. It feels less versatile and wearable compared to what I usually reach for. Still, I keep the sample for occasional use—just to enjoy it for myself!

This perfume smells strongly of earth and freshly tilled soil at first. After about 30 minutes, it shifts into a scent that feels almost bodily and sweaty. It captures the essence of a hippie in liquid form, which is pretty genius, but it's not something I'd wear myself.

I’ve been trying this perfume for a while and even own psychedeliclique myself. While it’s quite similar to Montale, I can tell that psychedeliclique has a stronger patchouli presence. Plus, its amber notes are drier, resulting in better quality and a nicer scent overall.

I picked up this perfume because I love patchouli, but it’s not what I was expecting at all. Patchouli Leaves feels like a mood or vibe—dark, dank, morose, and somber. There’s a wet tobacco scent with a damp, almost bitter earthiness to it. I didn’t detect any sweetness here, and honestly, it lacked life. It reminded me of something melancholic and introspective, nothing I’d ever want to wear or smell on someone else. Update: 24 hours later—Whoa, this still smells fantastic! I can’t believe it’s still around. 48 hours later—It’s bewitching! What kind of magic is this? It’s unlike anything I’ve experienced before. I need a full bottle!

Q: A singular creation, a true honoring of the central ingredient. Earthy, chocolate cake, wet-soil, autumn leaves, forest undergrowth, all topped with a sprinkle of melancholy. As said below, this is a mood, a vibe. This is classic patchouli, think Grateful Dead concerts, but elevated/classy/niche. Reminds me of how chefs take peasant dishes and elevate them to new heights. Anyone who doesn't like this just doesn't like patchouli, plain and simple. This is what patchouli is and always has been...it is eternal! The negative comments blow my mind...it's like someone complaining that their chocolate bar is too "chocolatety"...well, then don't eat chocolate! 9.5/10
