I'm not particularly fond of caramel and honey notes in a fragrance, but for those who enjoy wearing such scents, this perfume might be suitable. However, I personally find the strength and sweetness overwhelming, and at times, the scent becomes too sharp, making me feel like my senses are being overwhelmed.
I received a complimentary sample of this fragrance and promptly rinsed it off after 10 minutes as I didn't want to dedicate an entire day to wearing something when I have numerous other scents at my disposal. While it doesn't offend, the scent is remarkably ordinary - reminiscent of the typical perfume samples found in magazines from the 90s.
I'm so disappointed with this purchase as it has utterly failed to impress, boasting minimal longevity that barely lasts beyond application, let alone leaving any lasting impression on my skin or clothing.
I'm not typically a sweet tooth when it comes to scents, but I find myself drawn to this honey-infused perfume. The unexpected combination of fruity and spicy notes from the blood orange skillfully balance out the richness of the honey, resulting in a sophisticated and alluring fragrance.
I purchased this perfume during a warm autumn evening in Rome, where its beautiful, sweet fragrance with a distinct orange opening really stood out. When I brought the same bottle back to chilly London, however, all I can smell is ginger - an ingredient not mentioned in the notes. It seems that the patchouli has become more prominent, and the sweetness has vanished, leaving only a green and spicy scent. If you're looking for Scandal's sweet notes, I recommend enjoying it during spring or summer when warmth brings out its sugary warmth, which initially drew me to this perfume 😭
