One of my go-to perfumes in the Scandal line, I find its gentle and sugary essence to be ideal for daily use.
Initially, the scent on my skin was uncannily reminiscent of Purple Alien by Mugler, with an overpowering yet pure jasmine presence that left me astonished. However, as time passed, I began to detect the subtle nuances of caramel and vanilla, occasionally punctuated by a captivating salty, almost metallic undertone that I found utterly captivating. This distinctive perfume boasts exceptional quality and longevity, projecting a moderate strength without being overwhelming, earning my absolute admiration. Its versatility allows it to seamlessly complement any season.
While the perfume has a distinct burnt rose accord, I still find myself drawn to it. However, I do wish there was more sweetness, given that the original Scandal is notoriously overpowering. Nevertheless, this scent makes for an excellent date night fragrance, evoking the sophisticated aura of a confident woman in her 30's.
I'm genuinely perplexed by the reviews claiming this perfume is ordinary, unoriginal, and reminiscent of Hypnotic Poison. On the other hand, I was pleasantly surprised by its distinctiveness. My predisposition to favor designer perfumes with character and longevity, such as Scandal from JPG, might also have influenced my opinion. Additionally, I'm an avid fan of root beer fizzy vanilla soda scents, which this perfume embodies in a unique way. The strong, gorgeous sweet florals are reminiscent of the rest of the line, but this one stands out for its creaminess and yumminess. It exudes a cozy aura, similar to Hypnotic Poison, yet possesses the power and sex appeal of Scandal. Overall, I'm utterly smitten with this perfume and it has shot up my must-buy list!
I enjoy wearing this perfume and don't think it bears any resemblance to Hypnotic Poison, Piston Girl, or Mmmm; instead, it has a rich, creamy quality that's perfect for autumn - I've just stocked up on a new bottle 😊
