I like this fragrance a lot. It reminds me of Eau Duelle mixed with Sweet Redemption. It's projection and longevity seem to be pretty good on me. I get 6-8 longevity and 2-3 projection. I have both ED and SR so I really do not see a point in owning but if they ever run out, this will be on my to buy list.
What a tremendous opening this one has! It is very sweet and the kind of sweet (vanilla) that I am not able to wear outside. But as an olfactory experience, my goodness! The opening really drew me into some other part of the world and into another time, somewhere in the past, into a very classy and masculine company, men wearing suits, doing business. But for my nose, it lasted shortly. Soon only the sweet part remained and then I only had memories of the experience. If only the initial time bomb blast would stay longer...
Masterpiece. I'm obsessed with this scent. It's my favorite fall scent. Very versatile: I wear it to the office and it can be worn everywhere. It's sophisticated, non-sweet, grown up woody vanilla. Very well blended. Opening for the first 15 min. may not be appealing but the dry down is divine. I can still smell it on my clothes after a few days. Similar to Eau Duelle, but better and more unique. Also, similar to Van Cleef & Arpels Orchidee Vanille, but more woody and less sweet. I'm happy to own a full bottle.
weak barely there sillage after 90 minutes. starts off tangy like a gin & tonic. juniper and gin. after an hour this fades into the background and a basic dry woody vanilla emerges. this dry woody vanilla is the skin scent which remains if you put nose to skin. the vanilla is nice like eau duelle or atelier vanille insensee. but I don’t have time for this sort of skin scent which utterly lacks sillage. PS: editing to add that MFK Gentle Fluidity Gold is a definite copycat of this note profile. MFK GFG has a fruitier juniper note (less gin & more juniper berry), but there are strong similarities.
money waste on a woody amber vanilla Nothingness... poor sillage and poor longevity...
