This might be one of the most impressive fragrances I've ever encountered. The strong initial projection ensures it will last throughout the day. Wearing this fragrance on a crisp autumn or spring day feels almost surreal, as if it redefines what scent should be.
It's a nice mix of vetiver, fresh notes, and spices, but overall, it feels lackluster. The scent lacks a unique character, is overly expensive, and doesn’t linger as expected.
It’s fascinating how the scent of good vetiver can linger for days—so much so that you can even test its longevity by adding just a drop of aromatic oil to a plastic bucket and waiting months to see how it evolves. The resulting aroma is incredibly complex and earthy, almost like a natural perfume straight from the soil. Now, let me get this straight: just because a perfume is named "Armani Prive Vetiver Babylone," does that automatically make it the best vetiver option? I mean, that’s kind of like saying "Because it’s called X,Y,Z, it must be the best." It doesn’t quite add up. When I tried it today, applying a spritz to my shirt and wrist, I’ve been smelling it for hours—8 hours to be exact—and honestly, there’s not even a hint of vetiver in it. Yet, I still can’t deny its excellence. It’s light, refreshing, and perfectly balanced, which makes me wonder if it’s meant to mimic the essence of the root or if it’s a completely different creation altogether. Having grown up in India, where vetiver is everywhere—used in curtains, hand fans, oil massages, and even as a flavor in drinking water—I feel pretty qualified to talk about it. This isn’t just some random opinion; it’s based on years of firsthand experience. So here’s the deal: if you’re buying this perfume because you want a strong vetiver scent, you might be disappointed. It’s not necessarily a true reflection of the herb—it’s more about the composition and how it wears over time. But for the brand loyalists or those who appreciate its unique style, it’s definitely worth a try. Just don’t go into it expecting a classic vetiver experience.
This perfume is just amazing!!! I wear it all the time, and so does my husband. It smells different on each of us, which is kinda cool! On him, it’s divine, and on me, it’s absolutely stunning!!! The scent is smoky with a woodsy, bitter-chocolate vibe from the vetiver, paired with earthy patchouli and zesty bergamot—it’s pure perfection!! There's also this spicy cardamom and delicate pink pepper with coriander that adds so much depth. It’s just yum!!!! Such a wonderful mix!!! The longevity is insane—on me, it lasts like 10 hours or more! I get so many compliments whenever I wear it. Truly one of the best perfumes out there—I’m in love!!!!
"I didn't realize this was meant for men when I first saw it online. I've been using it for over a year without even thinking about its gender. It doesn’t matter to me what the scent was intended for, but I usually go for female fragrances. For myself, I’d say this scent is unisex. As someone who loves vetiver, I fell for this one on the first sniff. It's a fresh, slightly spicy scent with strong citrus notes. In the drydown, there are more peppery undertones. While it's not overly complex, it’s an intriguing and beautiful take on vetiver. I usually reach for this during summer days, especially when it's hot out. Going for a day at the beach, tanning on my boat, or just enjoying leisure time is when I use it. Another scent I often go for at these occasions is Penhaligon's Juniper Sling. While it’s not similar, they share the same vibe: spicy citrusy hot weather scents."
