Reviews

The initial scent impression I received was strikingly reminiscent of Vetiver Tonka! There's a subtle disparity in concentration and the top notes are significantly sweeter compared to VT. I've secured a sample, so I'll conduct additional testing tomorrow. To be honest, I had anticipated a stronger vetiver presence. 😊

This perfume doesn't quite resonate with me; the vetiver aspect is subtle, and I get a faint aromatic profile that's clean and fruity, with a soft plum note. However, overall, it feels unremarkable. It came as a sample with my purchase from AC, and I'm surprised by how inconsistent their perfumes can be - most of their citrussy scents are too weak for me to enjoy. Unfortunately, I don't detect any earthy vetiver in this fragrance either. The scent is linear, without much progression from start to finish 🙄

I've developed a fondness for Vetiver, but this one truly stands out. It's challenging to draw parallels with Tom Ford Grey Vetiver, as this perfume is on a par with it, if not surpassing it in many ways! This scent takes its time to reveal the vetiver notes, which intensify and become more complex over 15 minutes. Initially, I detected woody citrus undertones that gradually shift into a robust, masculine interpretation of vetiver – absolutely captivating! Subtle hints of citruses and oud add depth and give this fragrance a distinctly masculine aura. If you're an admirer of Vetiver, this is definitely a must-have addition to your collection! 🎁

A peculiar situation unfolded with this perfume. Initially, I purchased a 100ml bottle, shipped from Australia, only to test it briefly before selling it after a month. As the sale went through, I felt an intense pang of regret... Months later, while browsing, I stumbled upon a 200ml version at half the price of the original 100ml and quickly snatched it up! I'm grateful for this acquisition because I genuinely adore it. This fragrance presents a unique rendition of vetiver, masterfully blended with plum and citrus. The scent is rich yet never overpowering, with subtle hints of oud and a deep, velvety quality. Although I'm no expert, I suspect there's another component hidden within the composition. The longevity is impressive on my skin, lasting around 6-8 hours before becoming a close-to-the-skin presence that remains enjoyable. Projection is slightly below average, but when you love something, unconditional affection takes precedence! I find Oud Saphir from the same line bears some resemblance to this perfume, albeit with a more prominent plum note that overpowers the composition. Unfortunately, I couldn't appreciate it and had to part ways. Two additional regrets: I sold Gold Leather, which still haunts me; its performance was truly exceptional, and I long to relive those moments. Additionally, Bois Blonde 200ml was available at a similar price, but I hesitated and someone else snagged it – my bigger regret!

I impulsively purchased this perfume, yet unfortunately, it didn't elicit an instant connection. While it isn't off-putting, it simply fails to resonate with me. Interestingly, I detect a dominant fig note, despite its absence from the fragrance's official notes.
