For me, it's on par with Profumo. I actually prefer it over the original and find that it has no similarities to Profondo. It's as if it's the antithesis of Profumo, much like a day-night version of the same scent.
This perfume is a standout for warm weather, particularly among those who enjoy oceanic scents. It shares similarities with the original but boasts a richer character infused with salt and subtle spice undertones. With a longevity of 6 hours on skin and moderate projection, this flanker outshines ADG in many respects. However, its current asking price online is unwarranted. I'm perplexed by the decision to discontinue such an excellent product and replace it with lackluster offerings like Absolu and Absolu Instinct. It's puzzling that a company wouldn't reformulate an iconic scent or gauge public sentiment before terminating it. A great loss, indeed.
This essenza surpasses profumo in terms of balance and wearability; it's as if profumo had refined itself to achieve perfection.
Not exactly impressed with Eau De Fraiche Aqua Di Gio - it's actually my least favorite among the three. The scent has a soapy, traditional cologne character, with a peppery dry down that doesn't quite work for me. While the lemon and lime notes are prominent, they're less sweet than I prefer, giving off a whiff of bug spray rather than something more refined like Profumo, which is significantly better in my opinion.
I recently discovered this perfume during a trip to Juneau, Alaska, at a store near the docks, where I found an unsealed tester package. However, they were asking for $199, and despite my request to smell it, they refused to let me open the packaging. Additionally, when I asked if they smelled the Parfum (which I have purchased locally in Mesa), the salesperson attempted to misinform me by claiming ADG EDP was the newest flanker, which is completely inaccurate since I've already experienced the Parfum and can confidently say it's exceptional. It's astonishing that someone running a fragrance shop would be so uninformed about their own products. Unbelievable.
