Armani Code Satin

I recently stumbled upon some YouTube reviews featuring a girl enthusiastically raving about this perfume. While I personally only mildly enjoy it, with a rating of 6.3 out of 10 - definitely not love. However, surprisingly, people adore this scent on me, which can be quite annoying. To my doctor's credit, he is always gracious and never fails to notice when someone smells nice. But, in four years of visits, I've yet to have him comment on a perfume. The exception was when I carelessly sprayed Armani Code Satin on myself, prompting an apology followed by a compliment. If you're shopping for your own pleasure (as I usually do), I prefer the original Armani Code, which I rate 8 out of 10 for its timeless scent that exudes passion, comfort, and sensuality. Armani Code Satin is more of a head-turner, with an 8.2 rating from me. It's best suited for those who want to spray it liberally due to its lighter composition, which lacks the depth and comfort of the original Armani Code - think of it as a fling or club-type scent. In my opinion, it serves as a backup plan for daytime use, while the original code remains my go-to choice for evening wear. In summary, my rating for Armani Code Satin is 6.3 out of 10 for summer nights and day, but not for summer days. On the other hand, I rate the original Armani Code between 8-9 out of 10.

I was thrilled to test this perfume, as praline is one of my favorite notes and everything seemed so promising! Unfortunately, it smells overwhelmingly like pure star anise mixed with dust and chocolate. The scent is extremely strong and masculine, similar to Armani Code Satin, which is quite pungent and lingers for a long time. As someone who enjoys gourmands, I found this perfume to be uncharacteristically spicy and masculine rather than sweet. I'm relieved that I didn't take the plunge on a blind buy after reading such glowing reviews, as it would have been a disappointment.

Why create a hypothetical fragrance review for an unlaunched perfume?

Apart from the Armani Code line, this perfume is extremely potent - even more so than Code Ultimate. The patchouli dominates all other notes, making it a scent that's best suited for those who have a strong affection for this ingredient. Having tried several other codes, including the original, Couture, Elixir, and Summer editions, I'm afraid this one falls short in my opinion.

The first time I encountered this perfume, I was enchanted - I knew I had to have it. It embodies everything I crave in a fragrance! The warm and cozy quality, combined with the perfect blend of spices to ignite a sensual spark, is intoxicating. My initial attraction led me to test it on my skin when I got home... ah, bliss! But, 15 minutes later, when I lifted my wrist for another indulgent sniff, there was nothing left. It's as if the scent vanished into thin air - I felt utterly bereft.
